Christopher Cao
Christopher Cao is the Managing Editor and Systematic Reviews Section Chief of the Annals of Cardiothoracic Surgery (www.annalscts.com). He is also a founding member of the Collaborative Research (CORE) Group (www.coregroupinternational.org). Dr Cao graduated from his medical training at UNSW, Sydney, Australia with First Class Honours and completed Step 1 (99/99) and Step 2 (99/99) parts of the United States Medical Licensing Exam prior to a pre-internship at Yale University.
He has authored or co-authored more than 50 articles in high-impact international scientific journals and text books. His publications cover a wide range of topics such as TAVI, conduits in CABG, surgical management of mesothelioma, video-assisted thoracic surgery and minimally invasive mitral valve surgery.
Dr Cao has assisted in organizing the largest international registries on peritoneal mesothelioma and video-assisted thoracic surgery. His PhD with Sydney University is focussed on surgical management of pleural and lung cancers.
