Personal experience more than 600 VATS lobectomies, segmentectomies and thymectomies. In total we have performed more than 1400 VATS lobectomies and segmentectomies in Copenhagen, which is the largest series in Europe. In accordance with this development, we have published relevant papers in the field, attached below.
Since 2008 I have run clinical immersions with participation from many clinics in Europe, and I have trained many surgeons in the VATS technique we use: “The Standardized Anterior Approach”. I have given lectures and talks in numerous courses in VATS lobectomies, done live surgery and presented several papers at ESTS conferences.
Regent for ESTS, member of surgical advisory board for lung cancer screening IASLC, reviewer for European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery, member of MITIG-ESTS and member of the local organizing committee for ESTS in Copenhagen 2014.
