该报告显示，通过动物模型研究发现，长期接触旱田除草剂阿特拉津可以抑制线粒体复合物活性和氧耗量，诱发线粒体功能异常和胰岛素抵抗。从环境因素、能量代谢与糖尿病发病之间的相互影响关系阐述了长期接触化学毒物可以诱发糖尿病和肥胖等代谢性疾病。
