TAKE TIME

Take time to think; it is the source of power.
Take time to read; it is the foundation of wisdom.
Take time to play; it is the secret of staying young.
Take time to be quite; it is the opportunity to seek God.
Take time to be aware; it is the opportunity to help others.
Take time to love and be loved; it is the creator's greatest gift.
Take time to laugh; it is the music of the soul.
Take time to be friendly; it is the road to happiness.
Take time to dream; it is what the future is made of.
Take time to plan; it is the power to success.

Dear young clinicians/scientists,
Unforgettable speech delivered by Martin Luther King in 1963, "I have a dream". In my view, everyone has the dream(s), which motivates his/her life. It is happiness to lead such a way of life if the dream is achieved. Being a fresh postgraduate or young clinician/scientist, I am sure you have beautiful dreams and a way of lifestyle you want to live with. Strive for it, and seize it with your capacity. However, we should note that not everyone doing what they like most, most people doing want they dislike for earning living. Enthusiasm and zest always deteriorate with time and spend with the countless failures and distresses. Plan ahead and equip your self. Opportunity usually comes when one is sleeping and unaware; the golden opportunity usually goes with the competence.

I am living with a spectacular view of Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong, the Pearl of the Orient. I often see eagles hovering in the sky, they play and chase. I wonder why the United States symbolize this creature for the country. With its might, accurate and bird-eye view, it makes the success of the country. Do you have a vision like that?

Rome was not built in a day, I agree with Dr. Stephen R. Covey who has published a very famous book: The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, which disclose the importance of getting good habits and be proactive, begin with the end in mind, put first things first, think win/win and sharpen the saw.

Young guys, seize the days, orchestra your life, set your vision to a new horizon and make your dream come true.

I forget who wrote this meaningful poem, yet I would like to share with you all and wish you have a prosperous Chinese New Year.
