Targeting the organization and function of heterochromatin

Abstract:
Heterochromatin represents one of the most condensed chromatin domains in eukaryotic cell nucleus, which often associates with transcriptional repression and stem cell differentiation. In this work, we will show our most recent analysis on genome-wide distribution of epigenetic modifications and the heterochromatin markers. Their relationship with gene transcription and development will be discussed as well.
