Systems Biology is the revolutionary integration of biology, technology, and computation.  This integration enables us to ask and answer system-level biological questions.  Questions concerning the differences between health and disease, and how to control the transitions between these states, are system-level questions.  Such questions drive the development of innovative technologies that can generate the needed data.  The generation of these data, in turn, drives the development of new computational methods that extract the desired information from the data.  I will illustrate this process with the development and application of technologies for cell analysis.
