会议介绍：“2011 International Conference on Molecular Neurodegeneration” is co-hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Medical Neurobiology and Institutes of Brain Science, Fudan University and the journal Molecular Neurodegeneration. The conference will be held September 22-24, 2011, in Shanghai, a charming and fascinating modern cosmopolitan city located in the east region of China. The primary goal of this conference is to provide a unique platform for researchers to share their most recent research advances and explore future directions in neurodegeneration studies. More than 20 world-renowned scientists have been invited as conference speakers. Dr. Freid Murad, who was named the 1998 Nobel Laureate in physiology and medicine for discovering nitric oxide as a signaling molecule, will deliver a Special Lecture describing the relationship between nitric oxide signal pathway and neurodegenerative disorders. Dr. John Hardy, who first discovered the genetic mutation in the APP gene, will deliver a Keynote Address on what genetic analysis has taught us about Alzheimer’s disease? We hope this meeting will generate greater interest in neurodegeneration research and improve international collaboration in this important research area.
