Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to announce the 19th International Meeting of the Alpe Adria Association of Cardiology 2011 which will be held in Budapest, Hungary from 15 September until 17 September 2011.
Since we are convinced that it is of crucial importance that we procure greater political and economic care for the prevention and treatment of SCD, heart failure and arrhythmias, we decided to continue two initiatives launched in the former years: the ?Stent for Life” and the ?ICD for Life” Initiatives.
Since last year a two-day international conference EHRA Summit 2010 was held in Budapest focusing on the ?ICD for Life” Initiative in which 197 registered participants from 31 countries were involved, we strive for enlarging the zone of participating countries at the Alpe Adria Cardiology Meeting and welcome all the interested attendees.
The conference will address different highlighted topics of interventional cardiology, risk factor management, conservative and invasive rhythmology, sports cardiology and heart failure diagnostics and treatment. All the review lectures will be held by internationally renowned experts. Poster sessions of these fields will be also announced by the scientific committee at the closure of the abstract submission.
Budapest is a dynamic and vibrant city with a large scale of cultural and natural beauties, while the congress venue offers extensive wellness activities. The social programmes of the meeting will provide the opportunity to discover some of these beauties our city has to offer. The venue of the congress provides a relaxing surrounding and wellness possibilities after the scientific programme.
