On behalf of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine and the Scientific Committee, I am very honored and pleased to invite you to Birmingham for the 24th Annual EANM Congress, 2011. It will be our aim to continue the success story of Vienna 2010, and to make EANM 2011 a scientific highlight at which the best in “European Nuclear Medicine” is presented.
The present status and future prospects of Nuclear Medicine will be discussed in dedicated symposia, featured sessions and interesting Continuing Medical Education programmes.
As at the EANM 2010 Congress in Vienna, the main focus of this year’s Scientific Program will again be on daily Interactive Sessions, the Industry Breakfasts and the Young EANM Meetings as well as Pre-congress Symposia. Moreover, several joint meetings of closely related leading societies and associations (ESR, EORTC, ESTRO, ESMI, SNM, ETA) will reflect the multidisciplinary backgrounds of Nuclear Medicine and Metabolic Imaging.
We are delighted that Prof. Sandy McEwan will deliver the Marie Curie Lecture and that Prof. Adil Al-Nahhas will deliver the Highlights Lecture in co-ordination with previous YIM participants.
Together with the British Nuclear Medicine Society, the EANM Committee Chairs have tried to organize an attractive programme for both physicians and scientists, focussing upon the interdisciplinary nature of our field. Special attention will be given to the topics Therapy and PET-MR; furthermore, it is intended that discussions will be held on Imaging with Biomarkers.
Make sure that you add a few extra days to your attendance at the Congress so that you can also enjoy Birmingham’s beautiful surroundings.
