The goals of the conference are to bring together academic and industry leaders in pharmaceutical materials science, preclinical formulation science, automation science, biopharmaceutics and relevant applicable technologies to: Share methodologies that enable evaluation of potential drug candidates stagnating due to physical form and/or formulation challenges; Facilitate scientific and technological advances to increase efficiency in selection of formulations for preclinical and early clinical studies; Envision ways that science & technology could transform the current state in this area; Identify further knowledge gaps in scientific understanding and technological capabilities associated with this topic that can be discussed at future conferences.
The conference will highlight topics on maximizing exposure of potential drugs and compounds used in affecting relevant biological targets. Methodologies that can improve physical properties of materials, novel formulations that can help improve exposure, computational methodologies that can aid in compound selection and behavior, and instrumentation technologies that can be applied will be explored.
